This couple was just adorable and so sweet, it was a treat to be a part of their big day. The wedding was in Little Rock and I normally do not travel to Little Rock for work but I was contracted to shoot this wedding by my dear friend Lauren. She's a wonderful talent and if you are in the Little Rock area and are getting married you should definitely get in touch with her. I am only available for weddings in the Dallas area and I have some limited availability in the Texarkana area (and of course destination weddings).
I wish these two all the happiness in the world, and they are starting their marriage on the foundation of love and following God so I have a feeling they have a beautiful, bright, happy future ahead of them. :)

Computers give me a headache
Mine has been giving me fits all day, I have restarted it about 6 times, photoshop keeps freezing up, the internet will be buzzing along one second and the next everything freezes and I just have to unplug and start all over. I don't think I will ever really understand computers and why they can never cooperate. I've been told that a Mac never has problems and it also feeds the hungry and promotes world peace... well something like that, so I guess I should get a Mac soon. :) Here are some photo's of an ADORABLE little guy who I just loved. He gave me lots of smiles and we had a great time hanging out at my new favorite spot in Texarkana, a really cool old barn. Then we went downtown to the train yards and he just loved it, he loves trains and it was so cute seeing him flip out over them. :) And mom had such great ideas, she should be a photographer, she bought those adorable cowboy boots and the strawberries! *love*! I'll post a blog with a few wedding pics tomorrow, I've been working for around 12 hours today and I think if I have to be on the computer much longer the computer and I are going to fight and I'm going to win (my mom used to always say that to me if I was acting up, "we're gonna fight and I'm gonna win" ha :) Here's a few pics of the adorable Mr. E and his lovely fam :)
Happy Monday
I'm back and I've hit the ground running for sure, well I guess I've pretty much been "running" all weekend so I don't know that today is any different. If you are waiting for a sneak peek never fear, it will be up sometime today. It may be a little later in the evening because I have a couple of sessions to get out today so I'm trying to put the finishing touches on them first. I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, I'll post more later today!

Out of the office
Hello all! Things have been busy busy. I am heading out of the office for the weekend to shoot in Texarkana and Little Rock. I am completely booked up this weekend but will be announcing my November Texarkana dates soon. I will be traveling most of October so I will not be offering Texarkana sessions in October, only Dallas sessions. If you need to reach me you can still e-mail me or call me, I will be checking my e-mail through my iphone (I love that thing) and my assistant will be answering calls over the weekend for me. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and I will share photo's when I return!

Ninja Baby
Looks can definitely be deceiving, this little innocent looking doll face in the pink bows is my youngest niece, Madalee Eden, and she is by far the toughest and dare I say, meanest? Not in a bad way, but in a "I will never get bullied around, don't you worry one bit" kind of way. Seriously, she is so adorable and has more spunk in her pinky finger than most people have in their whole body. Before I left Texarkana her oldest sister wasn't feeling well and her mom was babysitting for a friend so I headed to the school to pick her sis up, then I met her mom at her house and little Madalee comes in and I swear, she did some sort of crazy jump thing where she catapulted herself onto the couch, it was like she thinks she is invincible and I am beginning to believe her. As soon as she did her crazy jumping flipping move it hit me, that child moves around like a ninja! Seriously, I think she may be able to hurt me if she wanted, ha! I just love her! All of my nieces have something about them that is so special that makes them "them" that I adore and little Madalee is no exception. I felt like out of all the girls I have photographed her the least, so we had our own little session while I was in and it was so fun. I headed to the store beforehand and bought her an entire outfit and she let me play dress up. Her mom is my best friend in the entire world, we have been best friends for around 13 years now, we talk on the phone seriously like 5 times a day, if lunch passes and we haven't spoken one of us calls the other and is like "what's the deal??" I honestly think at this point we can read each others mind. :) I love her and her girls like crazy and I am so blessed to have them in my life. I'm actually talking to her right now, and she just called Madalee a "Texas Tornado", I think that definitely fits as well. :) Anyway, I'll stop rambling, here are some pics!

Variety is the spice of life
This session was all about variety. First of all we shot urban, and then we went to a cool old barn. At first it was cool and windy, then it was nice and warm with calm winds. Also this adorable little princess was a little cold and not exactly feeling the whole "picture" thing, then she warmed up, and warmed up to me and was dancing around like a fairy princess. Last but not least we had a variety of wardrobe choices, her mom has fantastic taste (and I hear grandma has some great taste too because mom said she picked up a lot of the adorable outfits) so we did a ton of outfit changes because I wanted to fit in as many of them as I could! I have so many good shots of this cutie, I can't wait to dig in and start editing the rest of the session!
All boy
Every session I had over the past week was with girls, and I have to say I LOVE girls, they are so sweet and cute (I have 6 nieces so I definitely spend my fair share of time playing dress up, makeover and barbies). But I was really excited about my session with the only little guy of the week, and he did not disappoint! He was all boy from the top of his head to the bottom of his cute little toes. And his mom is such a sweetheart, I have known her since we were little and I haven't seen her in probably 10 years so I was so excited to see her and meet her handsome little guy. She is as beautiful and sweet as always. :)
We were worried Ike would put a stop to the session but luckily we were able to have a nice long session with no rain! We even got to hop on the 4 wheeler and head down to the creek for a few shots. It was a blast!

Supermodel
Seriously, this girl worked the camera like no other kiddo I've shot, I was in heaven! She would pose and smile and move poses constantly, I was just blown away. :) And her mom and dad are way too sweet, we drove all over the place on the 4 wheeler together and it was so fun. I had a great time hanging out with them.
Again, just grabbing a few pics here, I have hardly looked at any of them so I have a feeling I'm going to find even more favorites as I go along.

How cool is this old race car?!?
Not only was she a supermodel, she was also a dancing queen :)
Cowgirl
This little sweetie is the perfect blend of a smart beautiful little girl and a tough cowgirl. I was so excited to shoot her, her outfit was sooo adorable and I knew I wouldn't be able to take a bad picture of that beautiful face and I've never shot anyone with horses before, it was so fun! I honestly haven't even looked at about 80% of the photo's from the session, I just grabbed a few to put on here because I wanted to get them up quickly, but I can tell already I am going to have a hard time narrowing them down. :)
Whew!
Ok, between shooting a load of sessions and battling Ike my trip was definitely a whirlwind! I had a great time though and it was so fun shooting in Texarkana, the downtown is a photographers dream and all the at home shoots went wonderfully because we were in the country so there were SO many great places to shoot! I ended up on a 4 wheeler at two different sessions, got ant bit at 3 different sessions and even got stuck in the mud once (and I had a blast!). When I was growing up I always felt like I was a city girl trapped in the country, but now that I'm older (and maybe a little wiser) I can definitely see all the wonderful things about the country that I overlooked as a child. Growing up I spent my weekends riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, playing in the mud, going wading in the creek and cow tipping. There is something very charming and pure about the country and even though I do love living in the city, I think it makes me appreciate going back to the country even more. :) I have a "to do list" a mile long today but never fear, sneak peeks are coming soon so keep your eyes peeled!!!

Busy as a bee
I have neglected the blog a bit. When life gets busy the blog is usually the first thing to be overlooked, but I haven't been gone for too long, just longer than I would like. :) I am heading to Texarkana tomorrow to shoot quite a few sessions, I had one slot open but it was taken yesterday so now I'm full up. I will be back in November for sure and possibly October so if anyone didn't get in this time never fear, I'll be back! Also for all my Georgia peeps I have one session open there, I decided to come in a day early so I have one slot open on Thursday October 23 so if you're interested shoot me an e-mail! And since a blog post is not complete without photo's I'll share some from the "kung fu panda party" that I promised a while back. Man I'm behind!
