About Me

My photo
I am a Contemporary Photographer specializing in Children, Families, Weddings, Seniors and Maternity.

Welcome to my Blog!

I am a photographer specializing in photo journalistic natural light photography. I truly fall in love with my subjects, whether it be the soft breathing of a newborn, the mischievous smile of a toddler, or the way a new bride and groom hold each other like it's the most natural thing in the world. I find myself seeing the beauty in every person I photograph, I believe it's my job to find what truly makes them sparkle and capture that. I am passionate about photography and I hope to share my passion with you.

Texarkana Dates Announced!

Ok, I know many of you have been asking when my next trip is to Texarkana, so I've finally got it nailed down. I will be in September 12-14. If you would like a session in September shoot me an e-mail and we'll get your time slot reserved!

And here are a few pics from my recent trip to Arkansas. I went for my adorable niece Ava's 2nd birthday. We had a little mini photo session on the prairie while I was there, we were hunting for caterpillars :) It was so fun because I got to go through her closet and style her so as you can see she had a few outfit changes :) I will blog pics from her "Kung Fu Panda" birthday party soon. I'm not sure which edit of this pic I like best, so I'm posting both! I just adore her glasses! This is the prairie that runs along Mel and Darla's (mother and father in law) house and my sister in law (Hannah and Alan's) house. You can barely see Mel and Darla's house in the distance, below is a closer shot. It's just a stunning natural prairie and it's so peaceful there, it is the perfect spot for photo's or just a relaxing stroll. :) (It's amazing how the light changes the color of the prairie. )

Lovebirds

These two crazy kids got married last weekend and I had such a great time shooting their wedding. It truly was an honor to be a part of so many special moments, they did a first glance where you see each other before the ceremony and I highly recommend it, it makes the moment so much more intimate and special. Anyway, I was standing outside with Chris alone waiting for Shea to get Kaylee and he was nervous and so very excited to see her and I just thought to myself "wow, how special that I get to be one of the only people here for this moment" and it was a beautiful moment, watching them together took my breath away for a second. :) The whole wedding party was great too, they were really troopers because I had to drag them out in the heat to get some of the shots I really wanted (and trust me it was HOT). The ceremony was really beautiful and everything went wonderfully. I'm just so happy I was able to be a part of their big day. :) And I have to give a VERY big thanks to Shea who worked the wedding with me, I really could not have done it without her. She definitely has an eye (and she's great at telling people what to do too) :)

Cousins

These two dolls are my second cousins, I grew up with their moms and aunt hanging out on holidays, watching dirty dancing, baking cookies, going roller skating and staying up late at our grandma's gossiping. :) I am so sad that this is the first time I met little Allie because she's such a kissable adorable little thing, I just wanted to cuddle her as soon as I saw her (although she wasn't so sure about me, I had to assure her that we were related.) :) I loved hanging out with these two cutie pies and my cousins and aunt, I don't get to see them nearly enough so it was definitely a treat for all of us to be together. :) With these big puppy dog eyes the girls don't stand a chance.

Beautiful Family

What happens when a gorgeous girl falls in love with a handsome guy and they get married and have a little one? Well then you've got yourself one stunning little girl and a beautiful family. :) I've known this mom since we were kids and she's always been as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. It really made my heart happy to see her doing so wonderfully and to meet her lovely family. And I am just mad about her little girl, she's such a sweetie and when it was time to go she didn't want me to leave, and I really could have stayed and hung out with her all day because she was such a doll. :) I can't wait to see them again!
